THE GMO DEBATE
About Me
Prior to doing any research I did not know alot about the topic of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). All i knew about GMOs were how they were created and why many people thought that they are unethical since they do not occur naturally in nature. After doing some extensive research, i began to develop my own opinions on the topic.
From my first paper to my last one, I watched as my working bibliography grew, giving me the the sources to support all sides of the debate around this topic. I learned about the histroy of genetically modified organisms, how they are used, and all of the many opinions about them. I now have enough knowledge to support my views on this topic.
I created this website for a digital remediation project for my ENGL101 class with Professor Lyra Hilliard. My goal for this website is to expose the different ideas and opinions about the topic of genetically modified organisms. I hope that after viewing my website people will have more knowledge about this topic and be able to form their own opinions.
My name is Tucker Furman. I am a freshman at the University of Maryland College Park, majoring in business. In my spare time I run my own business of buying and selling limited edition sneakers and clothing. It is not only a business to me because I collect and keep many of the same pieces that I also sell. I also love to watch and play sports as well as hang out with my friends.
